notworthyplaying writing catch-up. here's for the 6th and 7th.

tsubasa reservoir chronicle/magic knight rayearth crossover | kurogane and umi gen | g | 310 words
The girl is glaring at him fiercely, and it makes Kurogane want to laugh. He's at least a foot taller than her, and he could kill her in a second, but she has her arms crossed over her chest, tapping her feet.
"You have my mashin," she finally says, glancing behind him.
"He's my kudan," he replies, suddenly finding her less amusing than he did earlier. Why his kudan even showed up here was beyond him.
She just holds out her hand, and he watches in disbelief as it nudged her fingers gently, growling low in his throat. She smiles, bright and happy. It was like watching two old friends reunite after spending years apart.
"Hello, Celes," she whispers, petting his nose.
"Magic Knight," he says, though his mouth doesn't move. His voice echoes in Kurogane's head. "It has been a long time."
"Yes," she agrees. She pauses, looking unsure for the first time. "Are you-"
"I have not forgotten you, Water Knight. Kurogane is in need of my assistance, as Syaoran and Fai require both Rayearth and Windam. Still, we are first and foremost aligned to you. Should you demand I return to you-"
The Water Knight, as Celes had named her, shook her head, which surprises Kurogane. She flicks her blue hair back, biting her lip. "If they need you right now, keep them safe. I would hate to be responsible for anything that happens to this brute."
"Hey!" Kurogane snaps, but she's smiling.
"Take care of my manshin, Kurogane," is all she says. She places a kiss to the dragon's nose.
He smirks, "I'll make sure no harm comes to my kudan, Water Knight."
"Umi. My name is Umi."
He nods, even as he hears the others voices in the distance. Umi smiles and leans up to kiss his cheek gently.
"Take care of yourself too, Kurogane."

1. Himawari cares for Watanuki just as much as he cares for her. She's not sure when it happened, or how it happened, but she looked up one day, and he was smiling at her, wide and happy, and she couldn't help but smile back. And then Doumeki said something about his bento not having enough salt, and Watanuki was off, and the moment was ruined.
2. Tanpopo is the both the sweetest gift that anyone has ever given her, and the best friend she's ever given. She doesn't know how to explain that to Watanuki, but she thinks (she assumes and she hopes) he already knows.
3. When Watanuki isn't around, she tends to sit as close to Doumeki as possible- not because she likes him that way or anything, but because it's nice to have someone who isn't affected by her, who she can enjoy the silence with.
