So if I'm not writing, I'm playing Tales of Vesperia. The two go together in this. Just a gen piece on Estelle, about 162 words, put here for my own sake. For
100_women, choices.
Yuri is unlike anyone she's met at the castle. So far he's unlike anyone she's met outside of it too.
Estelle likes that a lot.
More importantly, she likes what he represents. He's a choice, which is something that she's never really had before. Everyone, from Flynn on down (and up, if she's considering rank) have always told her what to do. Sometimes in her best interest (and not always, she's beginning to realize) but they would always tell her what she needed to do.
Yuri doesn't. Yuri lets her make her own choices, even as he's protecting her. Even when she's making mistakes- they're hers, and no one else. She can fix them or leave them and move on. It was exhilarating.
She wants to thank him, but she's not sure how she would go about it. He smiles at her sometimes, like he knows. She likes to think that he does.
Maybe it didn't matter. He would let her choose.
