100_women's #55- friends. title stolen from the beatles's with a little help from my friends
Karolina still has nightmares. She misses Gertrude- they all do. There's this fear along with her sadness though- that one day, she'll wake up, and the others will be gone too. It makes her get up in the middle of the night to check on the others. Xavin is the easiest, obviously. She'll go see Molly next, comforted to see the girl sleeping soundly, her arms around a stuffed animal.
Chase sleep restlessly, and she can't blame him. She hears him whisper 'Gert', in his sleep, and feels her heart ache for him. Victor is usually awake, and they just share a small smile before she goes and sees Nico.
"Stay," Nico mutters, half asleep. The request doesn't surprise Karolina- Nico always tells her to stay, and Karolina always does. She just smoothes Nico's hair down, and waits for her to go back to sleep.
