remember me as a time of day
g, 144 words
harry potter- sirius/lily
Sirius spends the summer in muggle London.
He doesn't mean to, but on his first day there, he ends up meeting Lily and her family. Her parents are nice enough, and recognize him as a wizard at first glance. Lily's sister on the other hand- she barely glances at him, and when she does, it's full of disgust.
Not that he cares, because when Lily smiles at him, wide and bright, he's not expecting it. In that moment, he knows what James sees in her, and finds that he's looking at exactly the same. He barely realizes that Lily's mother is subtly moving her husband and other daughter away.
"Are you less destructive away from Potter?" she asks, but the laughter in her voice lets him know that she's joking.
"Best behavior, promise," he says.
"Good," she tells him, "Because I'm sort of hungry."
