Blaise had never been enamored of Pansy, and he knew that she felt the same about him. She was Draco's, and therefore, untouchable, and he had never cared.

Now, she was the only thing that he had left. So many of their classmates dead or missing (they had been sons and daughters, just like the other side) and with her family dead, and Draco gone, he was all that she had.

She clung to him tightly, her face buried in his neck. It was a act of weakness, as both a Parkinson and a Slytherin, but she didn't care. There was no one left to see it.
